Inviting the body into safety, ease and awareness

These sessions are especially supportive for those living with chronic pain, stress, or long-standing tension.

Meditation

Where attention goes, energy flows.

Meditation offers a simple yet powerful way to support health and healing. It can help settle the nervous system, creating a greater sense of steadiness and ease, and over time can support the way we meet stress, overwhelm, and even ongoing pain.

In my work, I sometimes weave meditation with subtle somatic awareness, allowing attention to move gently through the body and soften areas of holding or imbalance.

For those new to meditation, practising with another person can make it easier to settle and go deeper. Some people also appreciate the support of a guided session, held in a steady and trusted voice.

“Meditation has only one meaning, and that is going beyond the mind and becoming a witness. In your witnessing is the miracle — the whole mystery of life” – Osho

Breath Awareness as Support

Alongside meditation, I sometimes draw on gentle breath awareness as a supportive thread within the session. This is not a technique to be imposed or controlled, but an invitation to notice how the breath is already responding — offering information about safety, holding, and regulation in the body.

Breathwork

For those of you who practise meditation such as anapana sati or pranayama, you will already understand how closely correlated the breath is to our thoughts and emotions. Or just remember back to the last time you were excited or angry and how your breathing reflected this state.

The breath acts as a bridge between the conscious mind and the unconscious as is evident when you consider how you are able to both control your breathing and continue to breathe without thinking about it even during sleep. The principle of breathwork for emotional release is based on the tenet that there is a direct connection between your mental well-being and your physical health and that the key to unlocking old wounds, traumas and painful memories that get stored in the physical body is through the breath.

Re-birthing Breathwork Sessions

During the first session, you are shown a breathwork technique known as re-birthing breathwork in which you learn to connect your breath without so that there are no pauses between the inhalation and exhalation. You then continue this breathing technique, usually lying down until you find your own rhythm with the breath bringing to the surface what needs to be expressed and cleared. Sometimes, past memories can surface which may be challenging for you, but as it’s your own innate intelligence through your own breath at work, it can all be readily integrated.

The Role of Nutrition

Nutrition is the study of nutrients in food, how the body uses them, and the relationship between diet, health, and disease. The food you eat is the cornerstone of good health. It involves consuming a balanced diet rich in essential nutrients to support bodily functions and prevent diseases.

I will, where necessary, help you design a nutrition plan around your own unique needs, goals and lifestyle, that feels achievable, adventurous and impactful without adding to daily stress and upset.

Pranic Healing

Pranic Healing is a system of energy treatment that uses prana to balance, harmonize and transform the body’s energy processes. Prana is the Sanskrit word that means life-force. This invisible bio-energy or vital energy keeps the body alive and maintains good health.

Pranic Healing requires a “no-touch” approach to healing and one I employ as it’s in total alignment with my ethos for healing i.e. its based on the fundamental principle that the body has the innate ability to heal itself.

Pranic Healing utilises “life force,” “energy,” or prana to accelerate the body’s inborn ability to heal itself.

The highest ideal of cure is rapid, gentle and permanent restoration of the health, or removal and annihilation of the disease in its whole extent, in the shortest, most reliable, and most harmless way, on easily comprehensible principles.
